'Dragon Ball' voice actor reunion coming to Shuto Con

I don’t post on every con guest announcement, but this one is coming up soon and sounds pretty cool for fans.

I just got a note from Shuto Con, the anime convention coming April 5-7 at the Lansing Center in Lansing, that it will host an epic “Dragon Ball” reunion.

Sean Schemmel (Shuto Con)With the new addition of Sean Schemmel, seven voice actors from the dub cast will be on hand to hold panels and sign autographs. Schemmel voiced the hero Goku, as well as King Kai and Nail.

The other six:

Christopher Sabat: Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, Mr. Popo, Kami, Jeice, Recoome, Korin, Burter, Shenron, Zarbon, Guru, Porunga and more, as well as voice director for the series.

Monica Rial: Bulma.

Sonny Strait: Scriptwriter for “Dragon Ball” and “Dragon Ball Z,” as well as the voice of Krillin, Lieutenant Blue and more.

Colleen Clinkenbeard: Gohan, Android 18 and Baby Trunks.

Chris Rager: Mr. Satan/Hercule and King Yemma.

Greg Ayres: Performer on one of the “Dragon Ball Z Kai” opening themes and voice of Guldo.

Other guests include Doug Smith (“Golden Boy”) and Rikki Simmons (“Invader Zim”). Bands for a Saturday marathon concert include Armcannon, Knights of the Round and the Pillowcases.

As one would expect for a con, there are lots of panels, a masquerade, artists alley and a dealer room. Pre-registration ends March 22.
