Sure, it’s the day after Valentine’s Day, but love is still in the air (and candy is really cheap).
For this week’s giveaway, I have a romantic two-fer from DC Comics.
Wonder Woman and Superman find a new canonical romance in “Justice League.” (DC Comics)
First up is the hardcover collection “Justice League: Volume Two — The Villain’s Journey.” While that doesn’t sound all lovey-dovey at first, this book includes the kiss heard ’round the world between Superman and Wonder Woman. It collects issues seven-12 of the regular “Justice League” series.
Second, I’ve got a copy of “Young Romance: A New 52 Valentine’s Day Special,” a recent anthology of romantic stories starring Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Mera, Batman, Catwoman, Batgirl, Apollo, Midnighter and more, plus Valentine’s Day cards like you used to give away at school (including some weird ones you can give to the person you don’t like but have to give one to anyways). I thumbed through it at the store and thought it seemed overpriced at $7.99, so free is a great deal!
