The history of the Batmobile in pictures

The Evolution of Batman’s Wheels

I’m not a car guy, so Autorama doesn’t hold any sway over me, but this year’s event at Cobo Center does have one Geek Watch thing going for it: the Batmobile.

Actually, it’s got three: the 1966 TV Batmobile, and vehicles from the 1989 and 2005 movies.

One of my colleagues is a big Batman fan and put together this exhaustive gallery on the history of the Batmobile, from the comics to the 1940s movie serials through all the toys up to the modern day. Click on the top link (sorry, I’m having some technical difficulties with embedding) to check it out!
