Some big dates to remember for 2013:
Saturday, Aug. 24, 8-3 p.m. — Shield of Faith Golf Outing at Pontiac Municipal Golf Course. (All proceeds benefit purchasing school supplies for children in the neighborhood around Fletcher Field.)
Saturday, Aug. 31 — Back-to-School Rally at Shield of Faith and barbecue at Fletcher Field (approximate start time of barbecue is 2 p.m.)
Sunday, Oct. 27, 2 p.m. — Treats ‘n Trunks. Our annual Halloween and harvest festival at Fletcher Field
Saturday, Nov. 23, noon — Thanksgiving baskets giveaway at Shield of Faith. Baskets will go to predetermined needy families in area around Fletcher Field.
