Well the state baseball games were held last weekend on Battle Creek, a steamy Battle Creek that is, and congratulations to all 16 teams that made it to the semifinals. It’s a great way to end a season.
But wait, the season won’t be completely over until the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game is held on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., at Comerica Park.
Before that the Horatio Williams Foundation will host a Baseball Showcase on Saturday at Manz Field located on Detroit’s east side near Conner and Warren. The first game will begin at 9 a.m.
High school seniors interested in playing at the HWF Showcase can register online at www.horatiowilliamsfoundation.org. Space is limited to the first 100 who register.
