En garde! Lions' Scheffler wins the endzone dancing duel

As you’d expect, the Lions’ Nate Burleson was asked about Tony Scheffler’s swashbuckling touchdown celebration Sunday after the 27-20 win in Tampa.

“He’s got me right now. But I had something that was gonna trump him,” Burleson said. “I was gonna take out the sword and throw the sword away, and bring out a big gun and a cannon.”

But those grand plans never materialized. Burleson didn’t get into the end zone Sunday, missing the end of the game due to leg cramps. Still, after paying Scheffler $500 for his TD dance against New England a couple weeks ago, Burleson said enough’s enough.

“That deal expired in the preseason,” he said.
