Hard to believe the Lions are finally back in the playoff hunt. Harder still to believe Tom Kowalski isn’t around to write about it and talk about it. He is dearly missed.
But Killer’s spirit lives on, and this is something he’d want us all to be talking about right now: The annual fundraiser he started more than a decade ago is continuing on in his memory.
So come out Thursday night (Dec. 15) to the Brewhaus in Keego Harbor (3128 Orchard Lake Road) to help raise money for Our Children’s Fund and the “Holiday Help” program that provides food, clothing and gifts to those in need.
Many of Kowalski’s friends in the local media will be serving as celebrity bartenders and there will be lots of sports memorabilia up for auction, along with gift certificates from local golf courses and other raffle items.
The event runs from7 p.m. until closing time.
