Day 27: Threats, insults, cash dominate Kilpatrick trial testimony

Bobby Ferguson threatened to kill water department deals unless a Detroit businessman paid him millions for no-show work, according to testimony Friday.

Businessman Avinash Rachmale spent a second day on the witness stand describing threats and extortion demands by ex-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s close friend and co-defendant in the City Hall corruption trial.

The threats and extortion payments were the last words jurors heard before the trial took another hiatus until Nov. 26.
