Jurors in the Kwame Kilpatrick corruption trial did the old “Goodnight Sam, Goodnight Ralph” routine at 4:30 p.m. after failing to reach a verdict on the 13th day of deliberations.
So far, the jury has spent about 73 hours deliberating following a five-month trial in federal court.
Kilpatrick, his father Bernard and contractor Bobby Ferguson face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of corruption charges.
Jurors will return at 9 a.m. Friday.
