Court stiffs Kilpatrick jurors in payroll snafu

Jurors in the Kwame Kilpatrick corruption trial got stiffed last week when the court apparently didn’t pay them for jury service.

U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds apologized for the apparent payroll snafu Monday.

“You will have the checks today,” the judge said. “We will make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Jurors are paid $50 a day — plus mileage.
