Yahoo.com reported Saturday the Lions will not tender an offer to restricted free agent linebacker Ashlee Palmer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Palmer played mostly on special teams last year, making eight tackles.
General manager Martin Mayhew said Friday he had not made a decision on any of the restricted free agents, though linebacker DeAndre Levy and defensive tackle Sammie Hill are expected to be retained.
Offensive tackle Corey Hilliard is also restricted.
