Lions move ahead, 7-0

The Lions finally got on the scorebaord, after a 5-yard run by Keiland Williams with a minute left in the first quarter. That completed a three-play, 26-yard drive, sparked by the interception by Bill Bentley. If the defense can generate good field position with takeaways during the regular season, the Lions will be a much more formidable team.
On the drive, backup quarterback Shaun Hill made a nice 22-yard pass down the seam to tight end Will Heller to set up Williams’ scoring run.
