The Lions have a 14-3 lead early in the second half and Lions fans probably won’t recognize the names of many of the players in the game at this point. It’s an important time for coaches to gauge depth and to see which players might start jockeying for positions as reserves.
Rookies such as Ronnell Lewis, Jonte Green, Tahir Whitehead and Ronnell and Travis Lewis are in on defense, trying to get some quality reps and some game film to review their progress.
The Browns cut the lead to 14-10 on a 12-yard scoring play from Seneca Wallace to Brad Smelley with 8:12 to go in the third quarter.
