Fumble costs Lions points

Despite getting a blocked punt that set the team up in good field position, the Lions couldn’t capitalize.

Running back Joique Bell fumbled near the goal line and Baltimore recovered at the 1-yard line to take over, ending Detroit’s chances (for now) to put the game out of reach.

The Lions lead the Ravens 17-9 with under 12 minutes to play in Friday’s second preseason game for both teams.

The fumble came at the end of a 20-yard gain for Bell, who has rushed four times for 29 yards and caught two balls for 21 yards tonight.

The quarterbacks remain unchanged for both teams.
