After throwing for nearly 200 yards, Matthew Stafford has given way to Shaun Hill as the second team offense has come on the field with the Lions leading Baltimore 14-9 in preseason action.
Their first drive wasn’t very successful for the second unit, but it did have one bright point.
Hill completed a pass to Ryan Broyles, who is seeing his first game action after being on the PUP list to start camp. It was good for eight yards. A tight end screen to Will Heller was dropped on third down, forcing a punt.
Prior to the Lions getting the ball, despite Detroit’s best efforts to give the Ravens yard with more penalties, the drive stalled, forcing a 44-yard field goal try by Billy Cundiff, which was good.
