With Ricardo Silva and Reshard Langford suffering injuries in the first half, the Lions have moved cornerback Alphonso Smith to safety to start the third quarter.
Smith is fighting to stay on the team, but if he can show some versatility as a defensive back, maybe he can keep his roster spot.
The Lions went three and out to start the second half. Ronnell Lewis had a sack for the Lions on the Bills drive, but they have moved the ball thanks mostly to penalties and are in the red zone with 11:10 left in the third.
