Bills score easily on first drive

If Jonte Green is in danger of being cut, his play on the first Bills’ drive didn’t help his chances.

On third and goal from the 4, Buffalo wide receiver Steve Johnson made Green bite on a fake to the inside before becoming wide open in the end zone and grabbing a touchdown catch.

The Bills take a 7-0 lead with 8:22 left in the first quarter.

That may be the last we see of the Lions defensive starters for the night. It looked like they had a fairly vanilla scheme that the Bills easily exploited. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was 5-of-5 for 39 yards on the drive, and C.J. Spiller ran six times for 29 yards.
