Ricardo Silva hurt his right shoulder in the first after a hard hit on kickoff coverage.
Silva was apparently good enough to go back in, but late in the second quarter he stayed on the field and looked to be holding the shoulder again.
With Silva out, new Lions cornerback Kevin Barnes is helping fill in at safety.
