WR Patrick Edwards makes his case for roster spot

Undrafted rookie wide receiver Patrick Edwards made a couple nice moves on a 30-yard punt return to give the Lions great field position on their third drive.

Edwards is among a handful of guys hoping to make the team as a fifth or sixth wide receiver.

After the Lions started in Bills territory, Shaun Hill found rookie Ryan Broyles for a 26-yard completion.

The Lions couldn’t score on their first three goal-to-go plays, but Hill sneaked in to give them a 21-7 lead with 54 seconds left in the first quarter.
