FINAL: Lions top Rams, 27-23

During the first half, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford looked more like a rookie than the veteran who passed for more than 5,000 yards last season.
Stafford threw three first-half interceptions and put the Lions in a deficit, but when it mattered most on a last-minute drive, Stafford led the Lions down the field and to a thrilling 27-23 victory over the Rams on Sunday in the season-opener at Ford Field.
With 10 seconds left, Stafford found Kevin Smith, who scored the go-ahead touchdown and sent the crowd of 62,315 into a frenzy.
