The Lions offense awoke — and quickly — after the Rams took a 20-13 lead. Matthew Stafford led a five-play, 80-yard drive and capped it with a 5-yard run by Kevin Smith to tie the game at 20 with 7:19 left.
Stafford was 3-for-3 on the drive, with all of the passes going to tight end Brandon Pettigrew, who caught passes of 20, 18 and 24 yards to set up Smith’s tying run. Pettigrew had a couple of drops earlier, but came up big on that drive. He now has five catches for 77 yards.
