The Lions defense held the Rams to a three-and-out and got a 45-yard field goal by Jason Hanson to even the game at 13-13. Nate Burleson had a pair of catches, including an 8-yard reception to put Hanson in scoring range.
So far, the defense has been good and hasn’t allowed a touchdown — the Rams’ only one coming on the interception return by Cortland Finnegan. They’ve held Steven Jackson to 27 yards rushing and 26 receiving and haven’t given up a play over 20 yards so far. From the looks of things, the offense will need to catch up and be turnover-free in the second half to pull away.
