Is it Broyles' time now?

Rookie Ryan Broyles may get into the mix this week.

Broyles was active for the first time last Sunday, but never got on the field. He was the fourth wide receiver, but he is the sixth option in the passing game behind Calvin Johnson, Nate Burleson, Titus Young, Brandon Pettigrew and Tony Scheffler.

With running back Mikel Leshoure back this week, Broyles would be considered the seventh option in the pass game. However, there is a good chance Scheffler won’t be able to play. He hasn’t practiced all week, and wasn’t moving around too comfortably in the locker room on Wednesday.

So, the Lions have a choice. They could move Will Heller up into Scheffler’s role, which is certainly possible. Or, they could deploy Broyles.
