Jason Hanson hits 53-yarder

People questioning Jason Hanson’s veteran leg will have to stay quiet for another week.

Hanson just hit a 53-yard field goal to give the Lions a 6-0 lead with 6:36 remaining in the first quarter.

The Lions will take the points, but they’re settling for field goals instead of touchdowns again this week. After starting on their 47 following Nick Fairley’s fumble recovery, the Lions couldn’t move far down the field.

Eventually, the stalled drives will catch up with them.
