New week, same problem for Lions

The Lions just keep settling.

Week 3 is beginning to look a lot like Week 2 for the Lions, and they have already settled for three field goals against the Titans.

Last week against the 49ers, they tried five field goals (made four) after drives repeatedly stalled.

The previous drive ended when Mikel Leshoure ran for no gain on third down. The Lions clearly trust Leshoure, but it’s surprising that they’d take it out of Matthew Stafford’s hands on third down.

It sounds too simple, but touchdowns win games. If the Lions can’t find the end zone, they’re going to struggle against every team, including the 0-2 Titans who have a 17-9 lead with 6:30 left in the second quarter.
