Lions offense gets in gear, threatens before half

After some first-half struggles, the Lions offense geared up, driving the ball into scoring territory in the final minutes of the second quarter. Matthew Stafford threw consecutive passes to Keiland Williams (5 yards) and Brandon Pettigrew (8 yards) for a first down). He later found Calvin Johnson (19 yards) and Titus Young (17 yards) on back-to-back plays to get the ball to midfield.
Later in the drive, he hit Nate Burleson for a 6-yard gain but added a personal-foul penalty against the Vikings to put the ball at the 8.
