Third downs haunting Detroit Lions

The Lions are 0-for-8 on third downs after nearly three quarters against the Eagles.

On their last drive, they went three-and-out, their second such drive of the second half already.

The Lions were 0-for-6 on third downs and clearly didn’t fix the problem with their halftime adjustments.

The third down issue is a product of quarterback Matthew Stafford’s inconsistent play. So far, he’s 7 of 21 for 91 yards and an interception. That’s a quarterback rating of just 28.1.
