On broken fingers

Here was the exchange between the media and Calvin Johnson earlier today regarding him playing with injured fingers last season: Q: Can you explain what happened with your fingers last year? A: “Had a couple things here and there, you know, pretty much getting them back straight, trying to straighten them things out.” Q: Were … Continue Reading →

To which Curtis Modkins on Wednesday said, no big deal. “To be very honest, I don’t think it changes much at all,” said the … Continue Reading →

Stumping for Bush

While Martin Mayhew, Tom Lewand and Jim Schwartz have been tight-lipped about their preferred targets in free agency, it’s pretty clear who some of the players are campaigning for — running back Reggie Bush. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is following him on Twitter, though he hasn’t mounted a recruiting campaign just yet, and Nate Burleson made … Continue Reading →

Former Bills safety to visit

With Kyle Vanden Bosch gone, with Louis Delmas, Corey Williams and Cliff Avril on the free agent market, the Lions are suddenly lacking in veteran leadership on the defensive side of the ball. “We may need to bring in some guys who have those (leadership) qualities,” coach Jim Schwartz said last week. Toward that end, … Continue Reading →
