Graham slam dunks Saints' third TD for a 24-14 lead

Jimmy Graham caps a 92-yard scoring drive with a 3-yard TD reception. We got about four minutes left in the third quarter. Saints lead 24-14. Graham, the former college basketball player at Miami, then slam dunked the ball over the middle bar of the goal post.

Brees generates two straight first downs

Drew Brees is making things happen right now. He crossed the plane with the ball on a keeper for a first down on fourth-and-inches, then completed a pass to Pierre Thomas for another first down. Then Brees found former Michigan receiver Adrian Arrington for a gain of about seven.

Near-interception from Eric Wright

That was a chance for a pick-six for Eric Wright. Looked like Wright had two hands on that Drew Brees pass. Give Robert Meachem credit for getting a hand on teh ball so Wright couldn’t reel it in.

Generous spot of ball for Saints

Sure looked like it on that Drew Brees to Marques Colston third down pass play. That was for what officials called an 11-yard gain on third-and-11. Why didn’t Jim Schwartz challenge the play? Strange, very strange. Looked like Colston was a yard short.

First penalty for Saints

Two-deep coverage for Lions

Drew Brees is finding ways to throw the ball over the top in the middle of the field past linebackers, especially Stephen Tulloch. Brees is now 18-of-23 for 215 yards.
