Here’s what you can expect from the coverage of tonight’s speech in Troy by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Lots of footage of the ranting by UAW-led protestors outside the San Marino Club about the war on the working man.
But don’t take that as a sign of media bias. Blame it instead on the 9th District Republicans who hosted Walker and closed the speech to the press.
So the only option reporters will have is to interview the protesters.
It was a dumb move that plays right into the hands of UAW President Bob King, who intends to use tonight’s events as the rehearsal for his “99 Percent Spring” protests, which will disrupt GOP and corporate events from now til November.
Walker has a great message of making government work for the taxpayers and not for government workers, and Metro Detroiters would be well-served in hearing it.
Instead, they’ll get more of the us-against-them rot from the union-funded shouters outside the speech.
Republicans are making it too easy for the Obama-backers to upstage them.
