Hyundai's U.S. chief calls Ford Fusion "an absolute knockout"

Hyundai’s U.S. chief John Krafcik at a speech tonight at Automotive News World Congress lavished praise on rivals — even after the company the North American Car of the Year. He praised Acura NSX and Lexus LF-LC concepts shown at the North American International Auto Show press previews this week, calling them both “beautiful.”

 

Kafcik — a former Ford executive — also called the 2013 Ford Fusion unveiled Monday ”an absolute knockout. He said he now understands why Ford sold its Aston Martin brand “It’s so that they can crib the design and not feel guilty,” Krafcik joked “It’s a very clever strategy.
