Some of the patches have been made. Sitting right next my colleague, Detroit News photographer Dan Mears, and he’s got tons of pictures of crews trying to patch up the two-mile Belle Isle track.
Some of Dan’s shots include guys with brooms sweeping up crumbled parts of the asphalt/concrete track. He’s got other one of crews trying to fill in crack and gaping holes. Some of these should be up on detnews.com shortly.
