No official word yet on if this race will resume. Crews appears to be pouring some kind of filler into the holes on the track. Track workers appears to be taking a close look at some of the bad spots. Sounds like there are plenty of bad spots out there. As a guy who runs on Belle Isle often, I can tell you the surface wasn’t in the greatest shape to begin with. Would be very disappointing to see this race end because of problems with a track that could have easily been improved before the race. That’s just my opinion, though. Indy Car Radio just reported there’s not only issues on turn 6, but also turn 18. Drivers appear to be staying positive in radio interviews that this race will resume. Teams are waiting things out on pit lane.
