The first name is Tom and I am covering the Cruise, which is the closest I’ll ever be able to claim to be well, a Tom Cruise.
Let me tell you about my ride for the Woodward Dream Cruise. The great people at Chrysler have lent me a 2009 Dodge Ram R/T pick up truck and it is a bad, bad machine. With a 5.7 liter V8 Hemi producing 550 hp it will get you from one zip code to another in a big hurry.
(In fact, this truck made the Kesselring Run in under 12 parsecs!)
It’s equipped with 22-inch Mopar wheels, a special Mopar hood and a Banks turbocharger.
According to the Dodge folks, the color is B-5 blue which is reserved for the Dodge Challenger (which is what I drove in the 2011 WDC.)
For the interior, it has lambskin leather seats with B-5 blue stitching.
We had the truck tricked out with the Detroit News and the Woodward Dream Cruise logos, so you can’t miss us.
Is this truck in production? No, but you can order the different Mopar accessories to create your own.
