Woodward Dream Cruise

Ferndale is fun, funky and filled with classic car nuts

Friday night in Ferndale is proving to be THE place to be for cruisers and spectators who have jammed Nine Mile on both sides of Woodward Avenue.
Thousands of visitors are swarming the downtown area: families, couples, couples with dogs, singles, mingles and car lovers, especially if the car you love is a Mustang.
Nine Mile on the east side is home to Mustang Alley, with dozens of the All-American pony car lined up for inspection.
Meanwhile, thousands of cars are roaring by on Woodward in anticipation of the official Woodward Dream Cruise on Saturday.
Weatherwisem things are perfect. A temperature in the low 70s, a slight breeze, very low humidity and a golden glow from the setting sun.
