Woodward Dream Cruise

Running on Woodward and scoring some ink

If it’s a perfect day to ride in the Woodward Dream Cruise, it’s also a perfect day to run in the first annual Cruise in Shoes 5 K race/walk held this morning on the avenue.
Joel and Kate Walczy traveled to the WDC with daughter Alexandra, 2, and they all participated in the race.
“We pushed her and she really had a good time,” Kate said.
“It was so cool running on Woodward, to know you’re actually on this famous road.”
“They don’t just close Woodward for nothing,” chipped in Joel.
After the run the Walczys toured the Chrysler display at 13 1/2 and Woodward, where each got themselves “a little ink” at a kiosk where Chrysler emblems were temporarily spray painted on with water soluble paint.
“We’re going to look at all the cool Chrysler cars and then go and do a little cruising in our minivan,” said Joel with a laugh.
