Program targets female athletes to prevent knee injuries

Oakland University and a team of doctors from Beaumont have joined forces to offer a program designed to teach young, female athletes how to prevent knee injuries.

ACL tears are a near epidemic problem for female athletes and learning how to strengthen the muscles around the knee as well as how to land when jumping are both important prevention techniques taught in this program.
