The Village of Rochester Hills La Femme Fashion Show

The Village of Rochester Hills’ “La Femme” fall Fashion Show at Meadowbrook Hall is literally just a few days away.  I am thrilled to be the event emcee once again and to have my brand, Glamorous Moms, host the VIP reception.  We have a very exciting evening planned with cars, fashion, local celebrities, local moms  and cute local kids.

The theme for this event is named after La Femme, a car made specifically for the American woman by Chrysler Corporation’s Dodge division between 1955 and 1956.  The car came fully equipped with a pink calfskin purse that coordinated with the interior of the car, along with coordinating accessories such as a matching lipstick case, cigarette case, compact, comb, cigarette lighter and change purse.  As it’s my great honor to announce, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum has allowed La Femme to join us for the evening!  La Femme will be making her grand appearance in the courtyard at Meadowbrook Hall for guests to visit and admire.  This will surely be a treat for all who will attend.

As far as the fashion in this year’s show, a long list of Village retailers will be showing off their latest trends and must-haves for fall. Each store will have hints of pink in their show to honor La Femme.  Models will be wearing fall dresses, skirts, sweaters, anoraks, trenches, pants, sweaters, button downs and cropped colored denim in the upcoming season’s colors, cuts and styles. We may even see tweed and a wide range of styles in bright neon colors.

The fashion show will take place Thursday, August 23, 2012 and will feature styles for men, women and children from the Village of Rochester Hills’ retailers including but not limited to; Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer, GAP, Francesca’s Collections, Buckle, Parisian and Apricot Lane.  Proceeds for the event will go toward Meadowbrook Hall, which has been recently named a National Historical Landmark.

I hope to see you all there! If you have a little diva that loves fashion, bring her along. This is a family friendly show.  Many moms and kids from the Rochester community will be in the show wearing fall trends from The Village retailers.  I helped host the model casting call and it was very important to me to have moms and kids from the community walk the runway.  As a brand ambassador for The Village of Rochester Hills, I thought it would be a nice touch to allow our biggest fans and everyday shoppers walk the runway and represent their favorite mall.  Not to mention give them a bit of special attention themselves.  After all, they do keep The Village going strong!  So who knows, you just might see your best friend on the runway -  if you don’t your daughter might!
