Another blow to the on-the-ropes Lions was the right knee sprain suffered by wide receiver Roy Williams on Sunday against the Vikings. According to Williams, he felt discomfort after the play shown in the second photo of this series, a catch for 43 yards that set up the Lions only TD of the day. I would think the play previous to that would have been the bigger OUCH seeing that right knee twisted. A knee injury is new to Williams and he hopes to return in a couple weeks. The coaching staff is not quite so optimistic but we all will wait and see.
I blog this to ask “What if?”
Williams left the game shortly after the long catch at 11:23 of the second quarter. He left the game with 5 catches for 85 yards. What if he had played the entire game?
