Kelley Korona and her husband Marc Robinson chose to be active on the anniversary. The couple drove from Canton Township to participate in a 5K run on Belle Isle. Both carried flags on poles throughout the race. Korona’s flag had the names of the nearly 3,000 people who died in the attacks. “We felt firmly that we wanted to get out and do something,” said Korona, 44. “We’re just excited …there’s going to be a recurring memorial so that people can get out there and not forget.”
