It took only :07 seconds but it had to be the longest 7 seconds of Fred Turvervilles life. During the mixed martial arts event, MAYDAY, at the Palace of Auburn Hills Saturday night, Ruben Bariac and Turverville came together in the center of the ring at the beginning of the first round. Immediately, Bariac got Turverville with a knee thrust to the chin and then went to the matt with Bariac over the top of Turverville’s chest. With ferocious speed and force, Bariac punched down into Turvervilles face totally unblocked, perhaps 3 or 4 times before the ref could grab Bariac from continuing, stopping the match. I’m not sure if Turverville was missing any teeth before the match but afterwards, his teeth looked like a window with a bunch of panes broken out.
