The NBA is out of business but the shoe companies are another story

We all know the NBA’s labor stoppage has everyone on edge, but it hasn’t stopped Nike and Jordan Brand from taking full advantage of the opportunity to market itself.

Even amidst the craziness and occasionally the buffoonery of the lockout, finding a silver lining with Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony is a reminder that the apparent “Love of the Game” conquers all. The Jordan Brand ad shows these guys willing to find a game, anywhere, no matter the level of competition, age or gender.

I find it slightly funny, though, that two of the three appear together at the end,  wearing the same jersey. I’m sure you can guess which two I’m referring to. The ad initially appeared on “Monday Night Football”, where the nearly-two minute commercial was more entertaining than the riveting Jacksonville-Baltimore tilt.

As for the aforementioned duo….Coincidence or foreshadowing?

Take a look
