NBA schedule will be released Thursday

Although it seems like the 2011-12 season hasn’t officially ended, training camp is less than nine weeks away and the 2012-13 schedule will be unveiled tomorrow.

Like last year, NBA TV will exclusively release the schedule at 7 PM, highlighted by the key dates on the docket, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving and Opening Night.

There have been a few leaks in the past few days, where the Celtics and Heat will play one another in Miami on opening night and Heat guard Dwyane Wade tweeted the Heat will be in Los Angeles to play the Lakers on Wade’s birthday (Jan. 17).

As for the Pistons? Nothing yet but there could be some leaks in the next 24 hours. They haven’t been on the national radar in quite some time, and their lone ESPN appearance, a game against Indiana, was changed late last season.

But around 7:30 tomorrow, the return of the 82-game schedule will be announced.
