Blogger meltdown

For those of our readers who publish their own blogs on Blogger, many of you may have been locked out yesterday after being flagged as a spam blog. Despite many conspiracy theories floated around the glitch, it was a wide-spread problem that had nothing to do with content. In any event they seem to have fixed that but created a new glitch in the process.

At the moment, no Blogger hosted blog is viewable in the IE browser. It works fine if you use Firefox, but since so many people use IE, let me pass along the fix. It appears to be a problem with the Sitemeter counter code. If you use Sitemeter to track your hits, removing the code from your template will allow IE users to view your blog.

One assumes that eventually Blogger techs will figure it all out and you can reinstall the code once it’s repaired.
