The fun just never stops when it comes to world politics. Just when we think we may have a little bit of a breather from the stress of global conflict with our troops pulling out of Iraq, things are now on high alert for the problem of North Korea. Kim Jong–il has officially attended his last May Day parade in Pyongyang.
The youngest of three sons, Kim Jung-un is poised to take the throne and carry the torch of extreme communism just like dear old dad. If the progeny of Kim Jung-il is anything like the delusional dictator father, he will probably be eager to make a name for himself very soon. Hopefully, the top-level military officials in North Korea will keep him in check and not allow him to act as if he just opened the liquor cabinet and swiped the keys to the family car. This situation is not good, folks.
We have 35,000 troops in South Korea, most of them right at the border. North Korea, on top of being in possession of nuclear weapons, also boasts the largest artillery force in the world. And putting Bam-bam in charge of daddy’s toys is going to be troublesome to say the least for the White House. I just hope they are ready and capable for the job.
This is going to make the 2012 election even more important, my friends.
