You have to ask what was Romney’s advance team thinking? Sure, tickets for a 1,200 seat rally were selling out, so they moved it to a 65,000 seat stadium? Talk about overly optimistic. The new venue turned a decent crowd into an embarrassing spectacle that probably made everyone feel uncomfortable.
Not only did Romney’s jokes fall flat, the optics were terrible. No way to hide the empty seats.

And the long shot photos make the turnout look absolutely pathetic.
