The person that keeps me thinking that the world is better than it was 50 years ago is Newt Gingrich. Gingrich plays the race card in everything he does and says. He sends out code words to the nefarious and backward of society hoping that there are enough of them left to make him a force in politics once again.
I don’t think he is in it to win it, but he needs attention; his three wives and time in Congress have not been enough to make him a happy man. He is hoping that he can keep the war that is going on between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum up long enough to get him to the Deep South. Hoping to win Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma and having won South Carolina, he will get his speech at the convention. That is all he is running for, a Pat Buchanan-type speech for the “heart and soul” of America.
