The citizens interest is bigger than politicians self-interests

To those elected to serve the folks in Detroit, please get over yourselves. You have failed to show that you are capable of getting the finances under control in Detroit. The Governor Snyder had no other choice and should be applauded for doing what his predecessor was too cowardly to do.

All this talk about about taking democracy out of the hands of the electorate is a joke. Maybe now, those that go to the ballot box will make the right decisions to get the right folks elected to serve them.

So Watson, Bing, Cockrel, Pugh, and any other pseudo politician (Young, Conyers, et. al.) that want to act brand new about this whole situation; you all are being disingenuous by trying to play the card that democracy is being hijacked. Sadly, you are too full of yourselves to realize that this is a blessing in disguise.

The failure to fix the broken city that is Detroit is the result of failed and fractured leadership. But instead of admitting it, the public servants are too filled with hubris to hold themselves accountable with what is wrong with the place. Dave Bing, get over yourself. You signed up for the job to sail that sinking ship and you failed miserably. So who really is being disingenuous? You have been nothing more than a broken promise and if the people were to put you back in office next year, then there really is no hope for the city.

You rode into town on a promise and a whim with no political capital whatsoever. You fooled the folks and it is high time that they do what is necessary and needed. Fire you and the other nine that have been more disappointing than all of the Kwame years combined.
