Will black pastors stand by President Obama?

There are people that claim to be devoted Christians that work hard at taking the sure black vote from the Democratic Party. The Democrats have been able to count on the black vote since John Kennedy. They haven’t had to promise blacks anything or do very little that benefited blacks in any way. Black voters just vote Democratic. They know Abraham Lincoln was a Republican and the Republicans, up until Obama, made the strongest appointments.

They are often reminded of the appointments to the Supreme Court and the military ranking blacks received under Republicans. But blacks vote Democratic, no matter who is running. The Republicans have worked hard to win blacks since the Richard Nixon term in the White House. They want to chip away at that automatic 98 percent black vote the Democrats count on every election.

Republicans found an in-road on the issue of homosexually. They have sent white evangelicals into black churches and communities to help make abortion and homosexually issues. They found out that black Christians didn’t like the new homosexual era. The post-Oprah Winfrey homosexual is open and out, no shame in the game. Through her talk show and her coming-out shows especially, Oprah made it okay to be gay.

Obama’s stand on same-sex marriage is a good thing for Mitt Romney, the GOP nominee to be, according to the Washington Post. They think it will help him win the true conservatives that have been holding out. Obama’s hope is the gays will get the hard-working political activists and gay organizations out there to get out voters come election day.

But what about the black pastors he needs to get the black churchgoers to vote for him and push others to do so. The black pastors often bash gays, though many have been found to be gay and hire gay musicians. It is something about getting a response from the congregation that make many of them speak out against homosexually over the pulpit.

I think most pastors will continue to speak out in favor of Obama’s re-election. Anything is better than Romney. But they will make it clear that they are not for gay marriage.

They should also speak out against all the killing Obama is doing around the world.

Homosexuality and abortion are non-issues because there is nothing you can do to stop them, but we can stop the bombing of poor people anytime we want to.

The thing we need to do is have our wordsmiths come with a word that will make plain that this is not traditional marriage, but carries all the rights and privileges of the traditional marriage. The president is not promoting same-sex marriages or homosexuality, he is trying to assure the rights and privileges of all Americans are respected, regardless of sexual orientation.
