Don't fight the wrong election fight

The new Republican strategy is to have the battle for the election of the next president of the United States fought over the deficit, but that is not the fight. The deficit will take care of itself in the long run. The rules will be changed so all is well with the rich and powerful. They will make sure the country is able to have a working class of people and an employer class of people and all that goes with it.

The fight is about social justice for the people that are too weak to be in the working class and too broke to hire anybody for anything: The uneducated, the old and broken, the people born with special needs, the people who are not able to join the ranks of the privileged few or the hard-working many. The race is about government and the proper role of government.

Will we, as a country, make it possible for the poorest people in our country to get all the education they deserve? Will we, as a government, make it possible for the poorest of people to have health care? Will we, as a government made up the elected few by the rich few, make life better for the people that can’t lift themselves up by their bootstraps because they don’t have boots? Will we run a deficit so the poor can have boots?

Don’t be fooled about abortion and homosexual hot-button talk; everybody over 10 years of age knows you can’t legislate morality or stop people from having sex and abortions with laws. But you can feed, educate and give health care to the poor.

And you can do it all with the money you spend on war.
